Saturday at Starbucks

Glenn and I are sitting at Starbucks this morning - we've both got our computers out sipping coffee and hot chocolate. He's got work stuff to do and I'm just playing around! The internet connection is so much better here than at the campground.

It rained all last night - thankful that the camper is not leaking! We are going to ride into South Carolina today and check out Aiken.

Andrea asked how much longer before we move into our house. I wish I knew! We think the owners will be out the week-end of the 15th, but we haven't confirmed that yet. So, we are in limbo. Glenn will be in Atlanta at work classes the week of the 16th, so I might go with him if we are not in the house.

Hope everyone has a great week-end!

Day 4 at the Campground

So far, not too bad . . . I've been keeping busy with going to the laundromat, finding the post office, DMV, and Driver's License Department - yes these two are separate - grocery store . . . and most important I found a Hobby Lobby! I'm so happy to have one in the area! I browsed yesterday for about an hour and could have bought a ton of stuff. I'll definitely be back after we move into the house!

I've noticed that the wifi is spotty here at the campground. Every time I log on to view our emails, it times me out after a minute! I have to re-log in . . . that's a pain.

Glenn and I went to the Harley-Davidson dealer that is about 3 minutes away! We wanted to get some information about joining the local Chapter. I looked on the website and it looks like they have a lot of events planned.

The weather has been cooperating nicely - mid 70's to low 80's. Today has been the warmest. I turned on the air conditioner in the camper!

Happy Camping!

Hi everyone! I'm back on the blog . . .
I won't be showing off any of my scrap projects yet - they are still packed in boxes for at least another 3 weeks :(
Here's the story - I found a great house to rent about 2 weeks before moving here and thought we would be able to move in pretty much right away. Well, now we can't move in until possibly April 15th (tax day!) and we are living in our camper (yes, it's small) for about 3 weeks - YIKES! I will log on and give an update on how the camping life is going.
We are at an RV/Motor Home Park in Grovetown. We are in the "overflow" area because of the Masters Golf Tournament next week. The owner of the park was wonderful to find us some space since he was booked to capacity with people coming in for the tournament. The overflow area is really not that bad. We have full hookups - water, electricity, cable TV, and there is free wifi.
Glenn started his first day yesterday, and I spent about 2 hours at the laundromat washing 2 weeks worth of clothes. I have to go back today and wash towels and sheets - I ran out of quarters yesterday!
I'm hoping not to go stir crazy. I do have my car but don't want to spend a fortune on gas just driving around. It's probably a good time for me to do some writing, huh?
I'll check back later to let you know how things are going!

Third Time's A Charm!

My blog will be quiet for the next month or so . . . we are moving . . . again . . . . 3rd time in a year!

Only this time, we are moving across the country! Glenn accepted a job in Georgia with his company and we have already started packing. We will be leaving California on March 18th or 19th. Wow . . . definitely mixed feelings here. Happy that we will be closer to our parents and one of Glenn's brothers; sad to leave Tyler and Michele on the West Coast; sad to leave all of the wonderful friends we've made here the last 28 years.

So, bear with me while we move and I'll be back to update the blog after we've settled in our new city, new home. Wish us luck!
