Opened for worship on December 2, 1900 as Sacred Heart Catholic Church; the last mass was held July 3, 1971. After 16 years of vacancy and vandalism, and extensive renovation, the building re-opened in 1987 as the Sacred Heart Cultural Center. It is home to various cultural activities including choral concerts, art exhibits, holiday events, etc.
