Family

We had a family get-together before Kevin, Tracy and Ethan moved to Las Vegas - dinner at Melody and Jerry's house. Patricia sent us this photo of us - turned out really good. I'd like to enlarge it to either a 5x7 or 8x10 to scrap for our Family Heritage album.

NO TIME TO SCRAP - TOO RAINY TO RIDE

What a dilemma . . . there's been no time to scrap this week - too much school work and other stuff; AND it will be raining this 3 day week-end so no time to ride. Hopefully I'll be able to scrap this week-end after homework!

Happy President's Day to all!

VALENTINE'S BLOG HOP!

Welcome everyone to our Valentine's Day Blog Hop! We have 18 blogs participating and you can expect to find all sorts of Valentines & Love inspiration! After you have visited all of the blog sites, or if you get lost, go to http://www.lovejoypaper.com and leave a comment on her blog for a chance at a grand prize!

My project is a mini-book made from CD/DVD sleeves. Here's what my finished project looks like:

Our Love Story

List of supplies needed:
5 CD/DVD Sleeves
Assortment of cardstock and printed paper cut to 5"x5"
Assortment of embellishments, stamps, letters, ink, buttons, etc.
Assortment of ribbon
Loose leaf rings (small)
Adhesive
Hole punch
Paper trimmer
Photos

Instructions:
1. Punch holes in the CD sleeves on the side for the loose leaf rings. Be sure that the opening of the sleeve is on the opposite side of the punched holes.

2. Start adhering your cardstock and pattern paper to each side of the CD sleeve. Be sure to punch holes in the paper on one side before you adhere the paper to the other side.
** You can use the entire 5x5 piece of paper, or cut it into triangles to mix and match the paper.
** You can also adhere your paper underneath the CD sleeve flap so you can use the inside of the sleeve to store notes, memorabilia, extra photos, movie tickets, concert tickets, etc.

3. Now add your title to the front cover.

4. Add photo mats and embellishments to your pages. This is the fun part!

5. Add the loose leaf rings to hold the mini-album together; tie ribbons to each ring.

6. Add photos and any memorabilia!

I hope you have enjoyed the Valentine's Blog Hop! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of the project! I will randomly select one person for a give-a-way! Be sure to leave your email in the comment line so I can reach the winner!

Road Trip Album

As promised, here are some photos of the album
Glenn is taking to his mom for their road trip.

Road Trip

Glenn is flying to Panama City, FL this Friday to spend a week with his mom, and they are going on a road trip. He is looking forward to spending time with his mom and his brother, Duane, is going with them too!

He asked me to make a scrapbook for her which he will take with him, and develop the photos before he leaves so they can add them to the scrapbook. That's what I'm working on today and will post some photos when I'm finished (hopefully she won't look at this blog before he gets there!).

February . . . Already???

What happened to the month of January? That flew by so quickly!

I need to get busy making Valentine's Day cards - it will be here way before I know what hit me!

Here's one card I made for a challenge on the Club CK member board - the challenge was to create a card using non-traditional Valentine's Day colors.
